About
Long ago and (not so) far away, I hosted a weekly radio program in Worcester, MA, USA on WCUW 91.3 FM. Titled Portable Madness, the show featured all sorts of avant, progressive, experimental, electronic, and improvisational musics.
Herein lies an attempt to explore the same content in a different medium. Things may vary a bit and get into other topics, but it’s all part of the same riff.
Footnote: This blog used to be called Uneasy Listening, but I tried to move it a few months back and wound up losing the posts. I have retrieved this first batch of them from archive.org’s Wayback Machine, minus the album images, but with the links still intact.

Hey Andy,
In a procrastination mode, avoiding work, I decided to check out ‘CUW’s website for the first time in a long time only to find I missed your show a few weeks back. Good to see you’re still alive and cooking.
My radio days are long gone; my media work is via writing, most normally at http://www.artscopemagazine.com where I’m managing editor and http://www.fiftyplusadvocates.com where I’m staff reporter and yes, Fifty Plus!
Where are you based out of these days? I’m in the same old same old Worcester house that’s hosted me since 1956! Brian Goslow
